Wow, only 10 favorite pics of Lucy? This was so hard, but it's really fun to look back and see how much she has grown, and how much I have grown as a photographer (at least I think so). I hope you enjoy, I know I did.

Some More Christmas Memories
I was spending the past couple of days at my mom's house doing some light cleaning and cooking and also to visit since she had been in the hospital over Christmas because of emergency hernia surgery. She is on the mend, but I wished I lived closer sometimes so I could help out more. I was able to take a few pictures during my visit so here they are:
Here is one decent picture I took of my kid, it is so hard to get nice pictures of her anymore because the lighting inside is so awful and I hate to use my flash, which is why all my pictures are noisy. It was either that or flash so I chose noise. This one isn't too bad though, but you can see little crumbs on her upper lip, or is that snot? Oh well.
One of the many flowers my mom received while in the hospital, so pretty.
I was trying to do the whole candy cane heart thing with bokeh in the background, and I think it turned out pretty well. I like that the candy canes are silhouettes, I didn't expect that.

Christmas Past
This is the nativity set that we grew up with. My grandma bought it shortly after WWII so it is definitely an antique. You can see it has been quite used and possibly played with (sorry Baby Jesus, but it looked so fun). One of the many flowers my mom received while in the hospital, so pretty.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Family
What is a family Christmas gathering without trouble making brothers-in-law, beer, and crazy Christmas ties?Motion Blur
Most of my pictures are full of motion blur. I picked this one though because I love that you can see just how excited Lucy's little cousin is, he just couldn't keep still. Pretty Package
I don't really have patience (or time) to wrap my presents all pretty, but this is a present ornament on my tree, and it sure looks pretty.Glow
There was a pretty glow shining on the manger in the Nativity scene at church (don't worry, I waited till after Mass to snap the picture).Sparkle
One of my newest Christmas ornaments, very sparkly.Thursday, December 23, 2010
Sunrise
I really should be getting ready for Christmas, you know, wrapping presents, laundry, cleaning. But I just don't want to. That would be against my procrastination nature. Instead, I will post this picture of the beautiful sunrise I was able to capture last week while driving to work. Well, the husband was actually driving because my car will not start in subzero weather. I just love sunrises, they always remind me that God is the one and only Supreme Artist, and each and every sunrise is absolutely amazing.
Okay, maybe now I'll go clean, or not.

Winter
The magic of winter through a child's eyes.
This is absolutely my favorite shot right now and I am so lucky to have been able to capture the moment.B & W with Selective Coloring
The Wind
This photo was taken during the blizzard about a week ago. I opened my window to get a little fresh air and the wind was blowing the snow inside my 2nd floor apartment.Framed
I was trying to get Lucy to hold the wreath just right so that it framed her face, but that didn't work out so well, as you can see.Remember When...
This is my baby's first Christmas ornament, and every time I look at it I remember when she was only 8 weeks old, a tiny ball of a baby who was just starting to smile a lot. This photo is SOOC, I didn't think it needed any editing, but then again what do I know?Happy Monday: Christmas Decorations
