Momma in Focus and Family Photo

Here are some photos I took on Easter of me and my girl, she insisted I get in the shot too!  Not the best quality because of the light, but I like them just the same.

Look at the chocolate on her face from some Easter candy, whoops.

This one you've seen before, but it's my favorite.  We were standing by the open door, hello pretty light.

And this is the family photo taken by my sister's brother-in-law.  This was the best one out of all of them if you can believe it.  There's me on the left (stand up straight girl!), my husband and Lucy, my seven brothers and sisters, my sister's husband and her four girls, and of course, my mom and dad.  We haven't all been together since I think two Thanksgivings ago, and our family has expanded a little since then.  So glad I brought my trusty ol' camera.

Good Times With Family

We had so much fun these past few days, and luckily it stayed dry Sunday and even Monday, crazy!  We were even able to walk around with our coats off for a bit.  Lucy had fun bossing her aunts and uncles around while we were visiting my family, and I think they even enjoyed it a bit.  She is very bossy I'm afraid, need to work on that.

Here's a shot of just a few of my brothers entertaining Lucy, she just loves playing with her uncles!  And rocks.  And dirt.

Okay, don't have any pets, but does this shot count?  My dad has two bird feeders and I think a hummingbird feeder too, can't wait to get some shots of hummingbirds.  Maybe on my next visit.

Love this shot I was able to capture of Lucy having fun with Daddy.  Entering last two shots in the portrait contest @ (life is too short not to) wear red shoes

Portraits

Yesterday and today has been cold, cloudy, and rainy.  Very sad.  Hopefully it will warm up later this week.  I'm very tired of the cold.

Still Visiting

DSC_1014re

This is a photo I took on Easter, Lucy insisted on me taking a picture of the both of us together, it was really sweet.  I didn't pull the camera out too much though because I was too busy visiting my family and having lots of fun and eating lots of food (probably too much, oh well, worth it).  But I did get some cute shots outside yesterday, I'll hopefully have more time tomorrow to share those and visit everyone's blogs again.

Hope everyone had a Blessed and Happy Easter!

A Snow Play Day in Late April

These photos were taken today, and I can't believe it's almost May.  Looks more like March outside to me.

Once the weather warms up and it stops snowing then maybe these pretty little things might actually bloom.

Touch Up Tuesday's at the Paper Mama Sweet Shot DayPhotography love...

I also received the Versatile Blogger Award from Janice of Roller Coaster Ride.  Thank you, so glad you enjoy my little blog!

The rules are you have to say 7 things about yourself and give the award to 10 or so other blogs.  However, their are too many blogs I enjoy that inspire me that I couldn't possibly choose, so I'll skip that part.

Here are 7 random things about me that you might not know:

1)  I enjoy a nice Guinness on occasion, yum!

2)  I was a private Catholic school girl.  Yes, I wore the uniform skirt and no, it was not like Britney Spears.

3)  I like reading those fictional Amish books by Beverly Lewis.

4)  Not a country music kind of gal, which is kind of terrible/funny because people in Wisconsin love the stuff (yuck).

5)  I need to get my eyebrows waxed on a regular basis, but I usually wait longer than I should to do it (like right now).

6)  I like watching the Kardashians, their "witty banter" cracks me up, even if it is extremely vulgar and blunt, definitely a guilty pleasure for me.

7)  I am a major pessimist, the glass is half empty, no doubt about it.  I like to call myself a realist though.

Thanks again for the award!

Poetry
My girl "reading" nursery rhymes from her Mother Goose book, that's poetry, right?  Here is one of my favorites:

There Was An Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe

There was an old woman
who lived in a shoe,
She had so many children
she didn't know what to do;

She gave them some broth
without any bread;
She whipped them all soundly
and put them to bed.

Lucy running around outside last Sunday at the farm before the storm hit.  It was very windy and I was able to get some great shots.
