Favorite from December

Christmas was special this year, a very wonderful Christmas indeed.  The birth of our Lord is always special, but this year was extra special.  Thank you Baby Jesus for all the blessings you have given our family, please continue taking care of us. 


Lucy got her fair share of presents, and I saved up my daycare work money and bought my husband an official Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers jersey.  I missed the boat on the Brett Favre jersey a few years back and I'm glad I did, he probably wouldn't be wearing it now.  I hope Rodgers will be a Packer for awhile yet, jerseys aren't cheap.  But I haven't bought the hubs any presents (birthday or Christmas) for years, so it was about time.


I've been pretty tired lately (being almost 25 preggo doesn't seem to be helping the situation any) so here is repost of a photo of Lucy.  I love everything about this picture, even the bits of "baby" drool coming out of her mouth.  I think she was so excited to play in the snow she was forgetting to swallow.  Kids.


Pretty much no snow on the ground now, much to Lucy's dismay.  She asked me if we could go sledding today.  She thinks it's never going to snow again, but I assured her that we live in Wisconsin, we still have 3 whole months left for snow, probably 3 1/2 - 4 months (I'm liking the no snow thing, can't ya tell).   Maybe I'll have more energy for editing and posting more pics later, but now time for everybody's nap (yes, mama and baby too).

Bump Update and Snow Pics

My pregnancy has been going great, can't really complain.  Baby's doing somersaults, belly is growing, and appetite as well.  My body and face are getting bigger along with the belly.  It's all worth it though, I'll just have to work extra hard sometime after the baby comes.  
Next appointment is in January, doctor said I was measuring a few weeks ahead last time (with Lucy I always measured right on), so we'll see what happens.  Maybe baby will come early, or maybe baby will be huge.  Mmmm...I probably should lay off the Christmas cookies, but that's not gonna happen.


Lucy didn't want to be in the bump pics this time, she was having way too much fun playing in the new snow, the only snow we've gotten this December, which is quite unusual for Wisconsin.  I'm not complaining, I've been enjoying it, but I don't think Lucy shares my feelings, she can't wait for it to snow again.







And my card got in the top 30 over at Paper Mama, you can vote through Wednesday!  Who wouldn't want to vote for that sweet face, but I guess I'm a little biased.

I thought this photo would make a good Christmas card?  I kind of like the simplicity of it.

Practice Shots

Practicing taking photos for the Christmas card, I bribed Lucy by letting her hold the snowman.  I'm such a procrastinator, but at least the place is actually decorated.  Maybe we'll take photos tomorrow, she kinda needs a bath.

Lucy's Tree

Some photos my daughter took (camera on the floor) of her little tree I bought at the dollar store a few years ago. She used her play necklaces to decorate it. I think it turned out pretty cool.

Okay, so the budlight ones were from the hubs and I one night we went out about a year ago, but we gave them for her to play with.  Just wholesome family fun, right?
