Thankful for My Girl

I didn't take any pictures over Thanksgiving because I was having too much fun with family, food, and holding/kissing babies!  Then this past weekend my daughter caught the flu bug and generously gave it to me.  I'm fine, but she has been throwing up on and off now for about 5 days, poor girl.  Doctor says we need to get her re-hydrated, so we are working on that, but I think she might finally be on the mend now (fingers crossed and lots of prayers).


I haven't really had time to take any new pictures so I am posting this picture again.  It reminds me of sunny days and a time when my little girl was happy and healthy.  This photo also makes me think that even though I have a few more loads of puke laundry to do and have this smelly stain on my carpet that won't go away but am trying to clean, I love my small family and wouldn't trade it for anything.

I just love my girl's eyes in this shot, they look so blue and innocent. But don't let them fool you, she can be quite naughty.

Show and Tell Photo Challenge: A View Above

I was a little confused with this challenge, a view above, a view FROM above, kinda different. I chose a view above. Edited in Picnik, and then I rotated it upside down to give it a more interesting angle so you can feel how big and tall the tree is.

I just figured out how to make my pictures bigger. I'm not sure I like them so big, it's kinda weird to me.  I like the pictures big on other people's blogs, maybe I just need to get used to it?

My pretty new cell phone in my favorite color, pink.  It even has a texting pad inside.  I rarely text but when I do it's pretty great.

My friend Amy makes greeting cards, birthday cards......and this one had a little bit of sparkle on it.

What Inspires Me

I was feeling very inspired to take photos today.  At I should be folding laundry, the You Capture photo challenge theme was what inspires you?


Well, today a lot of things inspired me:  coffee, nature, sunsets.....but most of all my baby girl.  She is the reason I get out of bed (literally) in the morning, I just love her!  If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't have bought my camera.  Here's some pictures from today:

It was really cold and windy that day but my baby was all nice and cozy warm in her pink hat and coat.

I Heart Faces: Silhouette

This is one of my favorite silhouettes, my daughter and her daddy watching the sunset by my husband's parents' old farm. I love that you can see my daughter's stuffed bear peaking out, she used to carry that bear everywhere!
