Now, I don't own a tripod or a wireless remote, but I read somewhere (not sure where) that you need a faster shutter speed to take a pic of the moon, so I thought if you used a faster shutter speed, then you wouldn't need a tripod? Oh well, I'm not the professional.

LOVE your moon shot! And I had no idea those were the settings to use (thanks for posting them). I always assumed you had to slow the shutter speed down and use a tripod. Very good to know! :)
