Visual Contrast
I really like the contrasting colors and also the contrast of the flamingo's long hard skinny legs against her bigger soft pink body.

Friendship
My girl Lucy on the right with her cousin who is about the same age.  They are best of friends but her cousin was being a little crabby so I took a pic of their feet instead.

Before and After
Lucy's face at the beginning of the merry-go-round ride (she wasn't too sure about it), and her face towards the end of the ride (she was really starting to enjoy it).

Dark
This is a photo of the bride and her father at the wedding I went to on Friday, she asked me after the dinner if I could snap some shots of the dance because her photographer left for the day.  I was pretty nervous, and it was really dark, so the shots didn't turn out too great.  My settings were all wrong, I don't have a speedlight, and I'd been drinking (probably why my settings were all wrong, don't drink and take pictures kids!)  Anyways, I was able to salvage a few shots, but any tips on how to take pics in low light settings without a fancy speedlight would be greatly appreciated.

  10. Great shots, I really like the flamingo shot, sorry not really sure how to help you out with the darkness shooting, i'm sure you had your ISO cranked up, sometimes we are at the mercy of our equipment unfortunatly (i do have a Kobre lightscoop which does help with the aweful on board flash!)!

  14. Thanks for the nice comments everyone. And Ashley, my friend told me that she hired her for only 6 hours, and things started later than expected. Maybe she charged more for the whole day, not sure?

  18. Anne, That was me that made the comment above, but under a new account. I just changed my blog address to debduty.com which for some reason created a new google account. It's confusing, but I'm excited that my blog address will be much shorter now!
