I've been a little MIA recently, me and the littles have been fighting bad colds and croup. This past week can be summed up in cough, mucus, snot everywhere, little sleep, sore throats (which I really hate) and a few nights of croup, which is pretty scary if you've never experienced it before, which I hadn't until now. Watching your babies struggle to breathe while sitting in a steamed up bathroom late at night makes a mama feel pretty helpless.
Thankfully, I think the worst is behind us, but we still have some pretty bad coughs. The poor babe is still on the mend, nursing with a stuffed up nose and mucus is pretty rough.

Look at those big beautiful eyes, gorgeous. This photo is before the snot attack. I could post a photo of the snot face, and I just might later, but haven't really had time to pick up the camera.

My girl helping me make bread. Yes, we've been making bread around here, well, had been, until the flu bug hit. Isn't she just adorable.

The new teeth, Isaac's been pretty stubborn about showing them off.

Tea with honey, a must for me right now. I still have my morning joe, but then transition to tea later in the day.
Now to catch up on housework, emails, and my photography, busy week!

My baby girl is finally feeling better, not 100% yet but maybe in a week or so. That flu virus was scary, and strangely I didn't get sick but my husband did, usually it's the other way around.
I was so excited to see the photo of Bennett in Edit Me this week, he is such a cutie.

Opened in Picnik, adjusted white balance, added a little contrast, warmed the shot with an orange screen tint. Made the eyes pop by boosting the color only in his eyes just a little bit. Cropped and sharpened for the web.

And just for fun here are some photos of flowers that I took when Lucy and I went for a walk yesterday. I had a smaller aperture f/9 for the first photo so I could get more of the flower parts in focus, I think it worked. But I didn't remember to do that for the last shot, because, as you can see, not all of it is in focus. And I had my iso set too high. Oh well, live and learn, I still like them. Critiques welcome.

My little Lucy has been so sick these past few days, high fevers of 103, nausea, and lots of diarrhea, I don't know how much more her small body can take.

Here appetite is almost non-existent, and she's looking so tiny (to me anyway). But she has been drinking water, trying to avoid the emergency room if I can help it.

I just wish there was something I could really do. She cries and wants me to make her feel better, and all me and my husband can do is hold her, rub her back or feet, give her lots of kisses, and tell her it's going to be okay. Hope she feels better by tomorrow, getting kinda worried over here.
