Spring Chicks

A few weeks ago we got some new baby chicks, just in time for spring!

I must admit, they're pretty cute.









Of course that was a few weeks ago, they are getting pretty big now, almost as big as chickens. They don't quite fit into the box much anymore, one hopped out yesterday and I picked it up and put it back in the box. Yup, you heard right, I'm turning into quite the country girl. Okay, not really, but I'm still pretty proud of myself.

Spring Has Finally Arrived in Wisconsin

Spring in finally here in Wisconsin, yeah!



 As you can see, my kids look like they could care less. My son is even giving me "the bird". Or so it seems.

Hopeful For Spring!

The temps here in Wisconsin are barely getting out of the 30s and 40s, so it still feels like winter here. The other day Lucy wanted to play outside with the farm dog Bruce, so I bundled her up and off she went. They looked so cute together so I snapped some pics through the warmth of my living room window. It sure looks like it could be warm outside with the sun shining and the green grass slowly popping through in spots here and there, so we are very hopeful that spring will be here soon.

I've been looking through my old photographs lately dreaming of spring.

Hopefully warmer temps will be here soon.  I just want it to be a nice warm 40 degree day so me and the kids can go for a little walk, is that too much to ask?  Apparently so.
