Some Selfies

I pulled the tripod out (yes, finally got one of those bad boys) and started taking some selfies yesterday using the self-timer.  I really want to become more comfortable in front of the camera and I need to work on focusing better.


Inspired by Paper Heart Camera's Number prompt, I had the idea of a girl waking up in the morning wearing her comfy boyfriend's (in this case husband's) sport T-shirt.  I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and try something different.  If only I actually looked this cute when I wake up in the mornings.

This photo is full of trees, tree silhouettes, tree reflections, and trees in the background. The shot is simple but it makes me feel very peaceful, I like it.

    

Finally Summer

The weather has just been amazing lately, in the 80s and sunny, I've just been having so much fun outside with my little family.  We went to the pool for the first time yesterday and Lucy loved it!  I think summer has officially arrived here.  Back to more blogging soon.

In a Funk

I've been in a funk these past few days.  Tired...and my hair needs some serious attention, I haven't gotten it cut since about a year ago (I know, bad, probably why I have so many split ends).  And it's been cold, like end of March kind of cold, sometimes Wisconsin can be so depressing.


I've been seeing the world in black and white.


Except for this picture, I like the warm pinkish tones.





Trying to have some fun with my little Lucy, she still loves that umbrella.

Yeah, this is pretty much how I feel.  Hope this funk leaves me soon, it's really bringing me down.

Under My Umbrella

The other day I let my daughter Lucy play outside with my new umbrella.  It was a cheap one from Walgreens but it's pink, so I like it. 

And I forgot to take the tags off, whoops.




I didn't tell her what to do with the umbrella, I figured I would just let her play around and then would snap away when I felt like it.

I had to take the umbrella away because the wind was really picking up and she was crying and struggling to keep holding the handle, kind of funny actually.  We'll have to try this again real soon, maybe I'll get in the shot too.
