Scavenger Hunt Sunday

1.  Texture

The texture of the brick on my apartment building, I just love brick.

2.  Fog 

I'll be honest, I took this shot a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't really foggy out.  So I softened the picture in picnik a couple of times and I think it looks like fog, maybe?

3.  Button

One of the buttons on my sweater, not much else to say.

4.  Beverage

My little girl's beverage of choice, milk.  She just started drinking out of a "big girl cup" and she is really proud of herself.

5.  Seventies

Kinda cheesy, but I couldn't think of anything else.  I even tried to edit it with a seventies vibe.

Days 22-28

Macro Friday

This week has just been ...blah.  I've been sick, my husband had his wisdom teeth pulled, and it has been cloudy and snowy, which is not good because like most of you, I get my energy from the sun, I need it.

So this morning I went outside to throw out the garbage and mail the rent check and I decided to bring my camera.  It was dark and gloomy out and the snow was melting, which means mud and slush.  I thought maybe if I took some macros it would change my perspective on this crappy day, and it sure did! 

I love these photos I took (warning, little bit of a photo dump).  I warmed up the pics so it looks like the sun might be shining a bit, which makes me happy.  Hey, if you can't have the sun, then you gotta fake it.

My little girl looks like she is very deep in contemplative thought and wonder right now...well...she kind of is.  She's actually sitting on the floor watching one of her favorite shows "Super Why".

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

1.  Memories

My Grandma used to collect lucky elephant figurines, and when she passed away my mom let me have this one.  He always reminds me of my Grandma.

2.  Silhouettes

I was able to snap a shot of the passing school bus as my husband drove me to work that morning.  This one I had to get from the archives, it was taken about a month or two ago.

3.  Doorways

My girl walking by the doorways in the hall, well, my apartment version of a hall.  Looks like she's just floating on by.

4.  Reflection

 Just me fooling around in the bathroom snapping pics of my reflection in the mirror.  I like this tint, makes my hair look red, always wondered what I would look like with red hair. 

5.  Silver

The silver tube on my red lipstick.  Confession:  I sometimes wear red lipstick around the house for fun (makes me feel like a magazine model) but I'm too scared to wear it out in public.  Crazy, right?
